I was born in Antigo, Wisconsin, but grew up in Canandaigua, New York, and Washington, Connecticut. While living in Washington, I discovered I had two passions: food and art (painting).

Growing up, I was lucky to have a dynamic dichotomy between my Dad’s French food influence and my Mom’s Italian food influence. I remember making pasta with my grandmother. When I was 12, my grandfather showed me how to rotate the Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1950-1980s in his cellar, which I will never forget.

My single biggest cooking influence has been Michael Brisson, he’s my dear friend and mentor. To be at The Charlotte Inn cooking, where my mentor began his career, is extremely special to me.

I have been cooking for my entire life. Food has always been, and will continue to be, a significant part of my life; it is a way for me to communicate with others, without having to use words. I believe to have finally found the balance between the craft and the art of cooking.

In high school, I was mentored by American Impressionist Herman Margulies a Polish Holocaust survivor and inductee of the Pastel Society of America’s Hall of Fame. His wisdom and impressionistic country landscapes still inspire me today. I hold a BS Finance and BA Fine Arts from Stonehill College.

My biggest motivation is my two boys. Liam and Kieran fuel my passion to create, and they are my everything. I am honored and grateful to be at The Terrace at The Charlotte Inn cooking with love for you.

Located on a charming tree-lined side street in the historic whaling village of Edgartown, The Terrace at The Charlotte Inn offers the Vineyard’s best fine dining. The Terrace is open for dinner nightly from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. The restaurant is open for dinner year-round on the weekends.
